Points/Dibs

High School Points Requirement

All high school families are required to earn a total of 40 points during the high school season games at Bob Shelden Field.

13U to Senior Legion Points Requirement

All upper age teams (13u, 13/14u, 14u, 16u, Junior Legion and Senior Legion) families are required to earn a total of 40 regular season points and 40 tournament points.

Minors & Majors (9U to 12U) Points Requirement

Majors and minors families are required to earn a total of 20 regular season points and 20 points during tournaments.

For those families playing on a travel team, there is an additional 30 tournament points that are required.

 

Juniors Points Requirement

Junior families are required to earn a total of 20 regular season points and 20 points during tournaments.

How to Earn Points

Points requirements and the point values for all of our volunteer positions are located on the FOB website. If you are interested in a board or non-team coordinator position, please contact a member of the current Friends of Baseball Board of Directors. Those interested in being a team coordinator should contact one of the coaches for that team or the appropriate age level director. Please keep in mind that only 9u-12u traveling teams and 13u and older teams have coordinators. In house 9u-12u teams do not.

Points Information

1. Points are accumulated from April 1st to August 30th

2. Unearned points at the end of the season will result in the Deposit Check being cashed and the value of the unearned points being kept by Brookings Friends of Baseball.

3. Failure to work a selected shift or to find a replacement will result in the Deposit Check being cashed and $100 being kept by Brookings Friends of Baseball.

4. Failure to return a jersey or equipment owned by Friends of Baseball at the end of the season will result in the Deposit Check being cashed and the replacement value of the jersey or equipment being kept by Brookings Friends of Baseball. This does not apply to jerseys for regular season teams in the Juniors, Minors, and Majors divisions. The players can keep them.

5. Extra tournament points earned will be counted towards regular season point requirements.

6. The maximum number of points per family is 300.

7. DEPOSIT CHECKS ARE 100% REFUNDABLE IF ALL POINTS REQUIREMENTS ARE MET AND FOB OWNED ITEMS ARE RETURNED!

To claim Dibs sessions, click on the "My Dibs Account" link below. You will see all available Dibs sessions which go toward fulfillment of your requirement.

Please note: If you are required to earn tournament points, you will have to sign up for a tournament work shift.  Tournament sessions will be labeled as such.

Reminders for Game Day Volunteers

Please show up for your scheduled work session at least 5 minutes early for turn over.  Also, be sure to sign off on the the sign-in sheet located in the concession stand or up in the press box to make sure that you get credit for working your shift.

If you are working the first gate shift of the day, you will receive and email with how to pick up the money bag for that day.
